August Adventures

August is a big birthday month - happy birthday Trevor, who is celebrating with Sharon and the family at Mollymook. Have a great time, we will miss you both on our walk this weekend.

Way back when I proposed these Sunday morning walks as an alternative to the City to Surf I mentioned that Warwick goes on an outback 4WD trip which fundraises for the Royal Flying Doctor Service. Donations are fully tax deductible and the total amount goes directly to the RFDS. If you are interested in making a donation I will pass it on to Warwick, the convoy departs next week. Cheques may be made out to: Rotary Club of Dubbo South Foundation.

This weekend we take on the CBD.

We meet at 8am, Milson's Point Station, on the Kirribilli side, at the base of the stairs leading to....you guessed it ....the Harbour Bridge. We will cross the Bridge, walk through the Domain and Botanic Gardens before fronting the Opera House and returning over the Bridge.
It is a little longer than our previous walks but we have been building our endurance and there are no uneven stairs or bush tracks, and of course, a choice of coffee shops at the finish.

We didn't check out parking, it may be meter parking near the station, but a few blocks away it could be free.

Let's hope for a lovely sunny Sunday.
