IF AT FIRST YOU DON'T SUCCEED

LA PEROUSE.....AGAIN

This weeks forecast is much more favourable for Sunday, so we will try La Perouse again.

Details remain the same, just hope there is no rain.

Be there or be square!

LA PEROUSE

LA PEROUSE....NEW TERRITORY

Now for something completely different.......this Sunday we discover La Perouse, and there is plenty to discover! It will take several visits to this area for it to reveal all it's glory.......quaint beaches, rugged coastline and coastal bush tracks. Unfortunately one cannot visit the museum at Bare Island unless on a tour (weekend afternoons), so you have to organise that another time.

Park your car and meet at 8am, near the Anzac Parade and Endeavour Ave intersection, no parking meters here. We will walk around Bare Island then on to Frenchmans Bay and Yarra Bay. The beach sand here is very white and fine, so let's hope for good weather.

When there is no traffic it doesn't take too long to get to La Pa (local parlance) especially if you take Southern Cross Drive and exit left at Wentworth Avenue, then follow Bunnerong Road to La Pa.....easy.

And some pics, especially for you Robyn ;-)

images (189×267)
Meet at the ferry wharf at Huntleys Point, we shall take the 8.08am ferry to Kissing Point then walk back. The journey is about 6kms and mostly by the water to keep us cool on what promises to be a 'hot' day.

Bring your money for the ferry ride, looking forward to seeing you then.

2016

MIDDLE HARBOUR TO BEGIN THE YEAR

The first walk of 2016 starts at the little bay where the houseboats are 'parked' and goes through some bush past Quakers Hat before crossing Military Road and then on to The Spit.

The walk is about 6kms with some very picturesque views. Parking is free and easy on Pearl Bay Avenue, meet at the bottom of the hill near Fig Tree Walk at 8am.

It has been quite a while, so there will be lots of  catching up to do. See you there.
