MISSING IN ACTION

Ramseys will be missing in action for the next two Sundays, if you would like some company on a Sunday morning walk please email the gang to see who is ready willing and able.

Meantime keep Friday Nov 23rd in mind for our brunch, when we return I will ask for nominations of what you will bring to share so we don't have any duplication, looking forward to it.

Cheers,

NEWTOWN AND SYDNEY PARK

STREET ART AND WALK IN THE PARK

Marg is leading the way this Sunday with a street art walk through Newtown and a discovery of Sydney Park in Alexandria. Sounds like fun.

The meeting place is the car park in Sydney Park at the intersection of Mitchell Road and Sydney Park Road, there are traffic lights at the intersection.

Looking forward to this, thanks Marg.

RAIN FORECAST

90% CHANCE OF PRECIPITATION

As the weatherman is not saying nice things about Sunday we thought to meet in Huinters Hill and have a walk if it is nice weather, with plan B being to go to breakfast.

Meet outside Stain restaurant in Gladesville Road, Hunters Hill at 8am. There are several cafes there to choose from and a couple of nice walks if the sun shines.

....JUST LIKE THE OTHER ONE

WIMPING OUT

Call us wimpy, but this Sunday the forecast is not great. We have decided to cancel the walk and hope that the weather is more amenable next Sunday. The alternative is to start building the Arc......Ben Domensino will be in charge!

TOO DARN WET

WAY TOO WET

We have rather reluctantly decided to be sensible this Sunday and cancel our walk. We couldn't think of a way to walk without getting wet, and didn't want to have people dissolving in a puddle. The only wet weather suggestion was spending a couple of hours doing the rounds of a coffee shop somewhere)!
Hoping to see you all next Sunday - don't get used to the sleep-in :-)

SEPTEMBER ENDS

CITY WANDERINGS

To celebrate the long weekend we are taking a city wander to be tourists in our own town.

Start at the Garrison Church, Cnr Lower Fort Street and Argyle Street The Rocks then we will head up to Wynyard and across to Barangaroo before returning via the harbour shore to the nice French cafe at the Rocks. About 5-6 kms.

See you there,
B.

BIRCHGROVE

BIRCHGROVE

We thought to start this spring season with a walk around Birchgrove taking in Elkington Park and Ballast Point Park as well as some Suburban streets, 'tis only a 5.5km walk so not too taxing.

Meet on the corner of Cameron and Phillip Streets at the usual time, looking forward to hearing all the news from far and near.

QUAKERS HAT

EVER SEEN A QUAKERS HAT?

This Sunday could be your opportunity................Beauty Point is very aptly named and has a lovely bush track leading to the Quakers Hat.

Magnificent middle harbour vistas and spectacular views through the Heads keep our minds off a few steps and hills on this walk. It is only a shortie but a goodie. To start the walk we have a narrow bush track, then we need our street cred as we cross Military Road to the Balmoral side and proceed to The Spit for coffee.

Meet in Pearl Bay Avenue Mosman, near Moss Lane, at 8am.
If coming from the city on Military Road, take the second left turn after Medusa Street, half way down the Spit Bridge hill ,street parking should be plentiful.

Only 6kms!!

SAWMILLERS WITHOUT THE SCULPTURES

CULTURE VULTURES........no more.

Sadly it appears that the Sculptures at Sawmillers exhibition is no longer........I don't know what happened but have been looking forward to it and can find no reference. Undeterred, we will walk by and imagine our very own sculptures as we take this lovely 7km walk.

Meet at 8am on the corner of West Crescent and Blues Point Road, there is 2 hour street parking, with some unlimited parking at the end of West Crescent.

Beware that the starting point on this map is not correct, the meeting place is near the very end of Blues Point Road. We will walk about 7kms because we won't do the Kirribilli loop shown on this link. We propose coming down past Luna Park and returning to Blues Point Road, there are lots of coffee shops around and about so we can decide on the day.

Cammeray via Crows Nest

We start this walk at the corner of Fredben Avenue and Amherst Street Cammeray. If you don't find parking on the street, there is heaps in the underground carpark under Stockland Mall (cnr Amherst &  Miller).
This is a pram friendly walk for Fraser to enjoy.
We'll stroll to Crows Nest through Cammeray and on to North Sydney, when we'll turn up the hill, through the parks and on to Cammeray coffee.
It's about 6km, and ideal for a crisp blue Sydney winter's day.

Rose & Parsley

Today we all need our OPAL cards.

Steve (I won't make this one either :-(  ) will meet you all at the Parsley Bay Reserve (at the northern end of Horler Avenue, Vaucluse), and take a 15 minutes walk south to New South Head Road (just up from the Vaucluse Bowling Club) where we will catch a 324 bus towards Rose Bay.
From Rose Bay we will start the main  part of the walk back to Parsley Bay by trying to stick to the water as much as possible. The walk should be just under 8km and takes in some magic Sydney harbourscapes, glistening waters and verdant parks. Hoping for a sparkling and spectacular day by the water!!

[Please let Steve (0419610531) know if you are coming.]

Please note that the starting point on the map is not actually where we are starting.

Steve will be on his Pat Malone as I am not yet fit to walk, I will come for coffee afterwards and hope that the weather is fine.

LONGING FOR LONGUEVILLE

RIVERVIEW LOOP

This Sunday we start in Dettman Ave Longueville, there is plenty of street parking at the end of this cul de sac where we take a bush track past Iggies.

This scenic walk is about 6.5kms and the weather looks good for walking, 23 degrees forecast.
We discover a little piece of history in an old well and continue walking along the waterfront as far as the track goes. Then we hit the streets and close the loop - the only thing missing is the cafe at the end of the walk.
