PRIMROSE PARK AND THE ALCHEMIST

CAMMERAY AND PRIMROSE PARK

The half marathon is on this weekend so we want to avoid the city centre. This walk takes us through Cammeray, St Leonards and Primrose Park before returning via the new cafe The Alchemist in Cammeray.

We will deviate slightly from the original map - meet in Green Park on the corner of Cammeray Road and Warringa Road Cammeray. Free street parking here.

The walk is about 7kms.

Looking forward...........

LOWER NORTH SHORE TRACKS

GORE CREEK TRAILS

This Sunday we take a trail round Greenwich and along Gore Creek Track, close by Lane Cove Golf Club. The walk is about 7.5kms but has some steep parts and steps.

Start at Wollstonecraft Station, park in Shirley Street and meet on the corner near the rail bridge at 8am.

Let's hope the rain doesn't interrupt our walk, though we sure need a downpour for the garden.

LONGING FOR LONGUEVILLE

RIVERVIEW LOOP

This Sunday we start in Dettman Ave Longueville, there is plenty of street parking at the end of this cul de sac where we take a bush track past Iggies.

This scenic walk is about 6.5kms and the weather looks good for walking, 23 degrees forecast.
We discover a little piece of history in an old well and continue walking along the waterfront as far as the track goes. Then we hit the streets and close the loop - the only thing missing is the cafe at the end of the walk.
Coffee will be in Lane Cove Plaza afterwards.

See you Sunday 8am.

HAROLD REID RESERVE

CASTLE COVE

Who the heck is........HAROLD REID?

This Sunday we will take a hike around Harold Reid Reserve, Castle Cove.

This is a very pretty and interesting bush walk, at 5kms it is a bit shorter than our usual walks but a request was made for a bush walk and this combines bush with lovely views and a smidgen of history.

Meet at 8am at the end of Sugarloaf  Crescent, Castle Cove, plenty of on street parking, the pathway is cleverly disguised - this is one of those lovely 'hidden treasures' in our midst.

Cheers,

B.
