TRAM SHEDS

TRENDY TRAM SHEDS AT FOREST LODGE.

The old Tram sheds at Forest Lodge are newly opened and worth a visit. There is a variety of different food outlets and some shops, the development has been done very well. The single tram was found in a backyard on the Northern Beaches and has been restored, quite quaint, especially as most, if not all the others were destroyed by fire some years ago in the railway museum at Thirroul.

We shall start the walk at a different location to the map in the link - in Chapman Road, behind the PetO shop which is easily spotted as you come along The Crescent, Annandale (turn at the small roundabout where there is a kink in The Crescent). There should be plenty of free on street parking behind PetO.

This will be our last walk before going into recess until Nov 27th. If anyone wants to organise a walk during that time please email and see who is available, otherwise.....

Hasta la vista!!

SCULPTURE AT SAWMILLERS 2016

SAWMILLERS RESERVE

The third Sculpture at Sawmillers begins this weekend so we thought a visit was in order.

The marathon is being held in Sydney and we wanted to avoid the CBD so we will meet on the corner of Woolcott Street and Balls Head Road. This  means we can revisit that little cafe which is always so welcoming.

PYRMONT CALLING

It has been ages since we walked in  Pyrmont and  Blackwattle Bay, this Sunday we remedy that.

Meet on the corner of Mount Street and Refinery Drive Pyrmont. You will need parking meter money this week.

Weather forecast is fine for Sunday so looking forward to another sparkling morning walk.

FATHERS DAY

BALMORAL CALLING

For Fathers Day we take a stroll around Balmoral and Georges Heights taking in some lovely views and of course one of our favourite cafes....the 'hole in the wall' at Chowder Bay.

Only about 5.5kms, but be warned there are steps.

Meet at the carpark (free) for Gunners Barracks, Georges Heights - take the Suakin Drive turnoff from Middle Head Road.

Looking forward,
B
