NEWTOWN AND SYDNEY PARK

STREET ART AND WALK IN THE PARK

Marg is leading the way this Sunday with a street art walk through Newtown and a discovery of Sydney Park in Alexandria. Sounds like fun.

The meeting place is the car park in Sydney Park at the intersection of Mitchell Road and Sydney Park Road, there are traffic lights at the intersection.

Looking forward to this, thanks Marg.

RAIN FORECAST

90% CHANCE OF PRECIPITATION

As the weatherman is not saying nice things about Sunday we thought to meet in Huinters Hill and have a walk if it is nice weather, with plan B being to go to breakfast.

Meet outside Stain restaurant in Gladesville Road, Hunters Hill at 8am. There are several cafes there to choose from and a couple of nice walks if the sun shines.

....JUST LIKE THE OTHER ONE

WIMPING OUT

Call us wimpy, but this Sunday the forecast is not great. We have decided to cancel the walk and hope that the weather is more amenable next Sunday. The alternative is to start building the Arc......Ben Domensino will be in charge!

TOO DARN WET

WAY TOO WET

We have rather reluctantly decided to be sensible this Sunday and cancel our walk. We couldn't think of a way to walk without getting wet, and didn't want to have people dissolving in a puddle. The only wet weather suggestion was spending a couple of hours doing the rounds of a coffee shop somewhere)!
Hoping to see you all next Sunday - don't get used to the sleep-in :-)

SEPTEMBER ENDS

CITY WANDERINGS

To celebrate the long weekend we are taking a city wander to be tourists in our own town.

Start at the Garrison Church, Cnr Lower Fort Street and Argyle Street The Rocks then we will head up to Wynyard and across to Barangaroo before returning via the harbour shore to the nice French cafe at the Rocks. About 5-6 kms.

See you there,
B.

BIRCHGROVE

BIRCHGROVE

We thought to start this spring season with a walk around Birchgrove taking in Elkington Park and Ballast Point Park as well as some Suburban streets, 'tis only a 5.5km walk so not too taxing.

Meet on the corner of Cameron and Phillip Streets at the usual time, looking forward to hearing all the news from far and near.

QUAKERS HAT

EVER SEEN A QUAKERS HAT?

This Sunday could be your opportunity................Beauty Point is very aptly named and has a lovely bush track leading to the Quakers Hat.

Magnificent middle harbour vistas and spectacular views through the Heads keep our minds off a few steps and hills on this walk. It is only a shortie but a goodie. To start the walk we have a narrow bush track, then we need our street cred as we cross Military Road to the Balmoral side and proceed to The Spit for coffee.

Meet in Pearl Bay Avenue Mosman, near Moss Lane, at 8am.
If coming from the city on Military Road, take the second left turn after Medusa Street, half way down the Spit Bridge hill ,street parking should be plentiful.

Only 6kms!!
