BURLEY GRIFFIN INCINERATOR

WILLOUGHBY LOOP

This Sunday we traipse around Willoughby, Artarmon and Naremburn beginning our approx 6kms at the Incinerator Cafe and Art Space, Small Street Willoughby. This incinerator was designed by Burley Griffin and after fairly recent renovation has been rejuvenated as a lovely cafe and art space.

Parking is available in the Willoughby Leisure Centre , enter close to the corner of Pendey Street.

Looking forward to a sunny Sunday. Please let us know if you intend coming just in case the weather goes against us, then I will SMS you.

WILD WILD WEST!

WEST RYDE AND DARVALL PARK

This Sunday we take a turn around West Ryde and Darvall Park, an area very familiar to many of us.

Start at Ryde Eastwood Leagues Club, cnr Ryedale Road and Wattle Street West Ryde at 8am. Plenty of parking here.

This is a walk with a few hills so be prepared, Roly Poly Hill being a memorable one. Coffee is good at West Ryde Station when we finish.

Look forward to a brisk 6 or so kms , see you there.

UP THE GARDEN PATH

ROYAL BOTANIC GARDENS

After rain interrupted last week, Sue and Pete have offered to lead us up the garden path this Sunday. It should be a cold morning but no rain is forecast.

It will be good to help the RBG celebrate 200 years.

Meet at 8am at the bottom of the steps at Milsons Point  Station - opposite Burton Street.

Looking forward to some tales from the travellers.

WET AND WILD SYDNEY

WEATHER ALERT

All the forecasters predict a wet, wild and woolly weekend for Sydney with the worst weather on Sunday. Despite our best intentions of walking we have decided to call the walk off for this week.

Enjoy the sleep in,

Ballstonecraft Headwoll

I had a flashback for this one following an inspiration from Mrs Malaprop.

This is the walk that includes some magnificent views, a little bit of bush, plus some streetscape (+ a little pinch at the end to deserve that coffee).

Meet on the corner of Balls Head Road and Woolcott Street, Waverton at 8am for about 7kms of fun and fitness.

Look forward to seeing you then,
S.

GIVE IT ANOTHER SHOT.....

HUNTERS HILL, with a twist........

Our last attempt at this walk was foiled by a thunderstorm, so let's give it another try?

Val and Robert have a different route around Hunters Hill and they are happy to lead us on Sunday morning.

Meet outside the IGA supermarket near the corners of Gladesville Road and Ryde Road at 8am, and let's hope the weather does not interfere this time.
