RAIN, RAIN, GO AWAY.........
The forecast is not good for Sunday.................................................after such a great run of sunny Sundays, we are now expecting that we might have to cancel again this week.
If the weather is fine we intend doing the Meadowbank walk, but we'll make a call before the rugby game on Sat night and post again then. So check again before bed on Sat night and keep fingers crossed that this water might stop falling from the sky.
Cheers from here dears,
B

GO WEST .......AND BRING YOUR MONEY WITH YOU!
MEADOWBANK BECKONS
The thrill of Sydney Ferries attracts us again - this is a flat walk beginning at the Meadowbank Ferry Wharf at 8am. We will walk along a shared path on the Parramatta River, past mangroves and playing fields. Those who have not passed this way recently will be surprised by the development of a housing estate and parkland by the riverside. We cross the river at Silverwater Bridge and pass Wilson Park and The Armoury at Newington before catching the Ferry from Sydney Olympic Park Wharf. Remember to bring a few dollars for your ferry ride :-).
A total of 8.3kms, no steps or hills, the approach to Silverwater Bridge is as steep as it gets..
Must say the cafe at Meadowbank looks to be a goodie for afterwards.
Hope to see y'all on Sunday.

THIS COULD BE EXPLOSIVE
THIS COULD BE EXPLOSIVE........in Castle Cove
Sorry for the late post, but we are most definitely walking on Sunday 16th June.
This walk (approx. 5.5kms) takes us round Castle Cove, into Explosives Reserve and along some foreshore track, continuing on from a previous walk.
Meet on the corner of Cammaray and Willis Roads in Castle Cove at 8am (note to all sat nav users - spelling of Cammaray differs from the suburb)
Looking forward to catching up with a few walkers who have been MIA lately, and hoping for good weather.
As usual, please let us know if you will be coming along.

VIVID
wE'RE A vIVID mOB
This Friday we are let out after dark................the forecast is for fine weather, so it should be a fun night of light, sound and (inter)action.
There is plenty to see and do from the Opera House to Darling Harbour with interactives along the way.
We will meet at 6pm on the corner of Albert and George Streets, near a large red sphere made from witches hats which periodically emits smoke. The plan is to make our way over to the Opera House so if you can't make it by 6pm, then stay in phone contact so we can rendezvous along the way.
Please let me know if you are coming and also if you are around on the long weekend for a walk on Sunday morning.
